​District Attorney Jeff Mitchell

District Attorney Jeff Mitchell was born in Tunkhannock and raised in Lake Winola and Mill City.  He is a graduate of Tunkhannock Area High School, Albright College, and the University of Akron School of Law.  Prior to becoming District Attorney, he has been a judicial law clerk and mental health review officer, worked as an associate attorney for a private law office in Wyalusing, served as the Bradford County Juvenile Public Defender and the Sullivan County Public Defender, and had a private practice in Tunkhannock.  District Attorney Mitchell was elected in November, 2009 and took office in January 2010.

  • Attorney Idec generally handles criminal domestic violence cases along with summary appeals, PFA Violations, and PCRA hearings.

  • Attorney Litwin generally handles juvenile criminal cases.
