Below is information regarding the programs and services that the Wyoming county Sheriff's Office has to offer.

 

​The Sheriff's Office is responsible for serving a wide variety of Civil Processes such as, but not limited to;
  • Bench Warrants issued by the Court of Common Pleas
  • Orders of possession
  • Mortgage Foreclosures
  • Sheriff Sales
  • Protection from Abuse Orders
  • Domestic Relations Contempt Papers
  • Domestic Relations Bench Warrants
The Wyoming County Sheriff's Office is also responsible for the transportation of individuals incarcerated or sentenced by the Wyoming County Courts.  This would include transporting inmates to and from State Correctional Facilities as well as County facilities.
 
Courtroom security, as well as the security in the Courthouse and Human Services Building are under the direction and the responsibility of the Sheriff's Office.  Deputy Sheriffs work the screening checkpoints and work hard to prevent weapons entering the Courthouse in the wrong hands.  The deputies are also assigned to protect Judges and courtroom personnel to ensure their safety. 
 
The Sheriff of Wyoming County issues License to Carry Firearms to Wyoming County residents and residents of other states who possess a valid license to carry issued by their home state as well.
 
Licenses to Sell Firearms and Precious Metals Licenses can be obtained in the Sheriff's Office.
 

​Concealed Weapons Permit Information

 

  • Applicant must be 21 years of age
  • Pennsylvania applicants must be a resident of Wyoming County
  • Applicant must ​provide Drivers License or DMV issued Identification Card
  • Permit fee: $20.00 payable by Check, Money Order, Credit or Debit.                         WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH (If paying with a Credit or Debit card, there will be a $1.95 surcharge) 
  • Instant check utilized for approval
When printing your application please make sure your print both the front and the back sheet as we will not be able to process the application without them.
 
Hours for permits: 8:30am-3:30pm

OUT OF STATE RESIDENTS: 
In order to obtain a License to Carry Permit from our office, you must have a current License to Carry Permit from your state of residence. Please fill out the application below and mail it to our office along with a copy of your Drivers License and a copy (front and back) of the License to Carry Permit from your state. Once your application is received and approved, we will contact you. You will have to come into our office to have your picture taken for your permit.
